Razumé

Privacy Policy

Thank you for visiting Razumé LLC's ("Razumé") resume review community ("Site") located at the URL http://www.razume.com. This Privacy Policy details certain policies implemented throughout Razumé governing Razumé's use of personally identifiable information provided to Razumé via this Site or otherwise.

Information Collection

You can generally visit our Site without revealing any personally identifiable information about yourself. However, in certain sections of this Site, to use certain services, we may require you to create an account or provide you the right to post your resume on our Site. Due to the nature of some of these activities, we may ask that you complete and submit an online form with personally identifiable information such as your name, username, email address and contact information.

Uses of Information

We may use your personally identifiable information to deliver certain services or information you have requested, verify your authority to enter certain password protected areas of the Site or send you user specific or service-related announcements from time to time regarding updates at the Site, such as new Razumé opportunities and additional features which may be of interest to you. Additionally, if you receive new comments on your resume or receive new requests to review user resumes, you may receive emails alerting you to that fact. Generally, you may opt out of such emails through your account settings, though Razumé reserves the right to send you notices about your account even if you opt out of all voluntary email notifications.

We have an area where you can submit feedback. Any feedback you submit in this area becomes our property, and we can use such feedback for marketing purposes or contact you for further information.

Resume Privacy

Since Razumé is a resume review community, we provide you the option of uploading your resume to our database. When posting a resume, we require all contact information to be blocked using our contact information redaction system. During the resume uploading process, you will have access the redaction system in step two and will be able to view and confirm redaction of your personal information in step three. Compliance with our guidelines ensures that all personal contact information including name, address, email address, phone number, personal web address and other information is blocked from view. See our Terms of Service for more details.

Once contact information is properly redacted from a resume, it will not be viewable by the general public who access the Site. However, to facilitate connections between Razumé users and prescreened employers, redacted contact information on resumes may be viewable by paying employers, recruiters, hiring managers, headhunters, university career consultants and human resource professionals, as well as law enforcement and national security agencies. Razumé attempts to provide resume contact information strictly to those parties mentioned above, but cannot guarantee that other parties will not gain access to your resume contact information.

We are not responsible for the use made of resumes by third parties who access such resumes while they are in our searchable database. You may remove your resume from our searchable database at any time or you may opt out of providing access to contact information on your resume by changing your account settings. However, employers, recruiters and others who have paid for access to that database or to obtain a copy of that database, as well as parties who have otherwise gained access to the database, may have retained a copy of your resume in their own files or databases. We are not responsible for the retention, use or privacy of resumes in these instances.
